Depicting a stage set with a dress form on a beach. Signed lower left. Having a Detroit Institute of Arts annual exhibition for Michigan artists label (c.1930-1950) on the verso. Wood and gesso frame H 18.75", W 22.75". Provenance: The estate of a prominent Bloomfield Hills, MI collector. By descent to the consignor. There have been other sales of paintings bearing the signature of Harry Long. To our knowledge, this is the first example of a work attributing the artist to be from Michigan and having a Detroit and DIA affiliation.
