In 1930, he graduated from on the best Russian art schools, Leningrad Art Institute, named after I. Repin. Since that time, he has participated in numerous exhibits all over Russia and in many countries including Germany, France, Japan and Finland. In the 1980's, he taught the "art of drawing" as a full professor in the Leningrad Industrial Design School.
