JOAN MIRO (SPANISH, 1893-1983), COLOR LITHOGRAPH, 1953, H 30", W 23", "OEUVRES RECENTES":#28/150; pencil signed; on Arches paper; floated in the frame. For the Galerie Maeght 1953 exhibition of Miro's recent works at that time. Purchased in 1993 from Park West Galleries, Southfield, MI. A certificate of authenticity from Park West is in the customer file and is included with the purchase of the lithograph (see photo detail).
As viewed under room light in the unopened frame: edge creases; repaired tear (c. 1 1/2" long) going from the edge of the paper into the image in the center left area.
