LOUIS XV-STYLE MAHOGANY AND MARQUETRY INLAY PLATEAU DESK H 30 1/2" W 50 1/2" L 28":Late 19th/early 20th century - reproduction piece. Veneered top and sides, gold tone acanthus leaf pulls, cabriole legs having female figural mounts.
There are several areas of missing veneer to the legs and front of the desk. The veneer to the top is warped and cracked in isolated areas. There is a hole approximately 6" in width visible to the underside. Shows wear with scratches.
