Mary Chase Perry (Michigan, 1867-1961) Pewabic Pottery - Stable Studio, Green And White Matte Glazed Vase, C. 1910, H 9.5'' Dia. 4'' | Having a short neck and elongated, tapering bodice. Boasting a palette of cream and sage tones in a drip matte glaze. Stamped "PEWABIC" with maple leaves on underside, dating this piece to 1906-1913 with production in Perry's early Stable Studio. Provenance: Property of a Prominent Metro Detroit Collector of Pewabic Pottery.
When viewed under UV light, no losses or conservation efforts fluoresced. With a minor degree of crazing to the neck, lip and shoulder. Having minor hairline cracks on the bodice near the base. Please note all lots show signs of wear commensurate with age and use, and the lack of a statement regarding condition does not imply the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from defects or the effects of aging.
