Pewabic Pottery (American, 1903) Iridescent Half-Glazed Hanging Vases, H 12'' Dia. 4.75'' 1 Pair | Each having an open lip on pinched necks on rounded, tapering bodices. Boasting a palette of gold, lavender, and cobalt rendered in an iridescent drip glaze. Both are unmarked. Provenance: Property of a Prominent Metro Detroit Collector of Pewabic Pottery.
When viewed under UV light, vases exhibit small losses to the glaze to the lips and nearest the bases. Each with natural pitting. With formal inconsistencies, likely experimental pieces. Please note all lots show signs of wear commensurate with age and use, and the lack of a statement regarding condition does not imply the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from defects or the effects of aging.
