MAUREEN WICKE (1916-1998) SILVER, GOLD & JEWELED CAROUSEL HORSE H 3", L 5":Ethel Maureen Wicke (Canadian-American, 1916-1998). Third quarter 20th century. A silver carousel horse, having jade, ruby, sapphire, and opal accents to various saddle straps, having five hanging pink quartz and amethyst decorations to each side, the horse with gold hooves and detachable gold reins, the whole raised on a lucite base, with a lucite block to stabilize the horse and a lucite rod topped with the August birthstone periot to top. Having maker's mark to underside. The horse weighing 425.3 grams, not including the various lucite pieces.
Condition
Having one ruby missing from the saddle strap on the back of the horse, having one sapphire missing from the underside strap, and one amethyst and one pink quartz piece missing from the horse. The sapphire, the amethyst, and the pink quartz piece are all present and included with the lot. There is also one included jade piece for replacing a missing stone. Having some minor surface scratches throughout
