MEISSEN PORCELAIN FIGURE GROUP, LATE 19TH C., H 12 1/2", W 8", 'LUST':Modeled as a young man encircling the waist of a young woman with exposed breast, her left elbow rests atop a column, a fallen column at her feet, off to the side a kneeling man holds a pair doves in a hat, an attribute of Lust; marked in blue under glaze with crossed swords and incised F 60 (see additional photo). Measures H.12 1/2" x 8" x 5 1/4". From the collection of Dr. Marion Scott and Ann Scott, Grosse Pointe Shores.

Condition

The woman is missing three fingers on her left hand; several small chips to the leaves at the base. Small 1/8" chip to the edge of the gold belt on the young man.
