MEISSEN PORCELAIN FIGURE GROUP, LATE 19TH C., H 12 1/2", W 8", 'ENVY':En suite with preceding figure group, modeled as a young man wooing a young woman, another woman, an allegory of Envy, is seated on a rock alongside, apparently weeping and shielding her eyes from the pair of lovers; marked in blue under glaze with crossed swords and incised F 49 (see additional photo). Condition
Damage and restoration to the plumes on the hat of the standing woman, her right thumb is also damaged; the right hand of the seated woman is damaged as well as the basket--apparent in the several photos provided. Several pieces are available for repair.
