MINIATURE TRAIN CO. (MTC), BOBLO ISLAND 'GRAND SCALE', RIDEABLE AMUSEMENT PARK TRAIN, C1960,:Miniature Train Company, 'Grand Scale' rideable miniature diesel locomotive, which is 9' 8" in length and 20" wide. In four sections including the locomotive. Two coaches are 8' 6" in length and the observation car is 10 ' 4". Along with three sections of 13" (grand scale) track. Each of the cars has seats for four adults or children. All painted red with white stripes. Plated metal logo 'MT' (Miniature Train Company) on front of locomotive. This train was operated at the Boblo Island Amusement Park, in the Detroit River.
Condition
Used many years at park.
The train has six trucks, the axels are in place on the trucks, and the wheels are attached to the trucks as well.
There are only 3 sections of grand scale track. The distance between the rails on the track is 13".
The lengths of each track are as follows and are approx., 8' 1 1/2", 12', and 8' 8".
Please note we only have 3 rails of track. We do not have the full amount of track that was used at Bob-Lo Island. Which was the old amusement park this train was originally from.
