MINTONS PATE-SUR-PATE PORCELAIN RETICULATED CENTERPIECE BY ALBOIN BIRKS, 1883, H 5", DIA 9 1/4":A lobed centerpiece raised on four scroll acanthus feet; ribbon-like reticulation about the rim, with interludes of gilt panels between four blue grounded reserves; two reserves with elaborate white slip cornucopia, opposing sides each feature two putti with laurel branches and floral garlands.  Decorated by Alboin Birks, monogrammed.  Impressed MINTONS, year cypher, shape number 2463, gilt globe stamp mark enclosed by ribbons retailed by 'Philips of London' (see additional photo).
