Nachet, Paris, Cased Brass Compound Monocular Microscope, C. 1870s, H 10'' Marked at the arm "Nachet Opticien Rue Serpente 16 Paris". Having a swivel reflector, telescoping adjustment knob and lead-weighed base. Having a fitted mahogany case containing two additional lenses. Case size: H 10.75", W 6", D 4". Provenance: Private Collection, Boston-Edison District, Detroit, MI (40-year resident of the Boston-Edison Ford House)

Condition

General surface wear commensurate with age. Loss at one hinge of the case and at the bottom. Case also appears to be missing a few compartments on the inside. Please note all lots show signs of wear commensurate with age and use, and the lack of a statement regarding condition does not imply the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from defects or the effects of aging.
