Patek Philippe & Cie (Geneva) 'Gondola' Platinum Pendant Watch, 18kt Gold Necklace, C. 1850, 26mm Diameter, 29g | An antique platinum and diamond encrusted (VS2-SI1, E-G) 'Gondola' pendant watch by Patek Philippe & Cie. Movement marked "No 169063 Eighteen (18) Jewels Patek Philippe Geneva, Switzerland Eight (8) Adjustments". The watch suspends on an 18kt white gold 'Y' form necklace chain with twenty-four single round cut diamonds (VS2-SI-1, E-G). The dial reads 'PATEK PHILIPPE & CIE - GENEVA' with Roman numeral hour markers and second markers to the extreme perimeter. The backside of the case offers a central pate-sur-pate octagonal insert depicting an imbibing cherub amongst lattice work with 48 illusion heads into which 0.01 carat uncut diamonds (VS2-SI1, E-G) have been set. Case measures DIA 1". Dial measures DIA 3/4". The chain weighs 7.15 grams (length of 22"). The watch weighs 22.15 grams. Provenance: a private collection in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
