Having X form support fabricated from solid cedar. Top comprised of Rittenhouse's trademark "split log" cedar top. Retains it original Rittenhouse Furniture Company blue foil label on underside of top. The Rittenhouse Rustic Furniture Company was founded in 1928 by John Rittenhouse and his distinctive cedar creations furnished Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Wisconsin cottages in the early 20th c.. The company manufactures premium quality rustic furniture in Cheboygan, MI to this day. Provenance: property from a Kalamazoo, MI private collector.
