SEVRES PAINTED PORCELAIN CABINET PLATES MOUNTED AS SCONCES, PAIR, H 14" DIA 10 1/2":A pair of porcelain cabinet plates, each painted with battle scenes, having cobalt blue borders and gilt leaf accents. Mounted as sconces, with two light candlestick holders. Marked to verso "Chateau de Tuileries" and in blue underglaze "Sevres 1844" with additional maker's mark in black underglaze. Also marked "PGE DU RHIN".

The second plate marked in red "NEWINDEN" (Possibly).

Condition

The candle arms of one plate are noticeably bent out of place. The brass shows wear. Overall, one plate is in good condition. RB 3-29-17
