Manufactured by the Ames Manufacturing Co. of Chicopee Mass. Ricasso marked "US A.H.K. 1864" and "Ames Mfg Co Chicopee Mass.". Guard is marked "A.H.K.". Having a brass clamshell guard and grip. Newer gold sword knot. Having a stitched black leather scabbard with brass throat and tip. Tip is marked "G.W.C.". The second sword in this lot has no visible markings and is unidentified. Appears to be American or British in origin. Having a blade length of 31". Wood grip with brass pommel and guard. Includes a stitched black leather scabbard with brass throat and tip. Throat appears to be marked "Read 4 Carlt. St.".
