GROUP OF ASSORTED LACQUERED & PAPIER MACHE BOXES, 19TH/20TH C.:Comprising: (1) Chinese lacquered box, early 20th century, having wood, clay, and possibly bone inlay figural scene to top, stamped "China" to lid, height 1 1/4", length 2 1/2", width 3 1/2"; (1) papier mache snuff box, 19th century, decorated with faux tortoise shell exterior, and hinged cover having inlaid abalone, height 1", length 4 3/8", width 2"; and (1) small papier mache snuff box, the hinged cover inlaid with pewter, height 7/8", length 2 1/2", width 1 1/4". The lacquered box with cracquelure and scattered small cracks throughout, and some loss to underside. The tortoise shell box with cracquelure and scattered small cracks, one small loss to underside. The small pewter snuff box with grime deposits to interior and surface scratches throughout.
