GROUP OF THREE CONTINENTAL ENAMELED BOXES, 19TH & 20TH C., H TO 1 1/4", W TO 1 3/4", L TO 2 3/8", DIA 2 1/8":Comprising: (1) 19th century Continental porcelain box, of triangular form with canted corners, painted en grisaille in the Rococo-taste, with a figural courting scene painted to top, height 1 1/4", length 1 3/8" at widest point; (1) 20th century enameled circular box, depicting a landscape scene in the Classical taste, with plastic base attached to underside, unmarked, dia. 2 1/8"; and (1) probably 19th century enameled rectangular box, the top painted with various insects and a floral branch, the sides with various pastoral scenes, and one dragonfly painted to interior, height 1 1/4", length 2 3/8", width 1 3/4".
Condition
The porcelain box with some slight discoloration to ground, and deposit of sticky grime to bottom (probably due to a paper label). The circular box with surface scratches and some slight dents throughout. The rectangular box with cracking throughout, and significant cracking visible to interior. The box also has small losses to exterior edges and discoloration visible on bottom.
