Gloster Ltd. sterling silver cigarette case, Birmingham, 1910, a rectangular sterling silver cigarette case with hand chased scrolling foliate and floral engraving, with central cartouche monogrammed, maker's marks to gilt interior, weighing 1.57 troy ounces; (1) Edward Smith sterling silver snuff box, Birmingham, 1829, the lid engraved "Heard" surrounded by an engine-turning and an applied cast foliate rime and thumb-piece, reeded sides, gilt interior with stamped maker's marks, weighing 2.15 troy ounces; and (1) silver metal box with engraved exterior featuring columns and foliate scrolling, the bottom with a multi-step border and one flower to center, unidentified rubbed maker's marks to lips, weighing 2.44 troy ounces. 5.0 troy ounces measurable.
Condition
In fair to good overall condition, all the cases displaying some general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with their age and use. Heavier wear and marks visible to the hammered case with numerous deeper scratches and nicks.
