MAUREEN WICKE (1916-1998) SILVER AND SEMI-PRECIOUS STONE SURPRISE EGG H 3 1/2", DIA 1 3/4" CROWNED KIWI BIRD:Ethel Maureen Wicke (Canadian-American, 1916-1998). Untitled. Third quarter 20th century. Having four pieces, in the form of a crowned kiwi bird, the exterior feather-textured, having inset moonstone eyes and a crown with gold prongs, the interior opening to reveal a silver wired nest with a small amethyst egg. No apparent markings. Accompanied by original fitted box with attached label reading: "Maureen Wicke - designer". The whole weighing 215.8 grams.
