MEISSEN PATE-SUR-PATE PORCELAIN COVERED URN, H 11 1/4", W 6 3/4":A classical urn-form raised on a square base; gilt leafy standard and lid with a pinecone finial, mounted at each side with entwined snake handles. White slip decoration of a classical nude female carrying rose sprigs, a putto carrying a cornucopia alongside her. Double-crossed swords mark in blue underglaze, impressed 20, and incuse G59, and (196/55).
A very small stress crack noted near the base.
