MEISSEN PORCELAIN FIGURAL SWEET MEAT DISHES, LATE 19TH C., PAIR, H 4", L 6 3/4":Each is modeled as a reclining young lady and man, dressed in late 18th century style attire, with their hands flanking an oblong bowl, on a scroll-molded base; hand painted with fired gold accents, marked in blue under glaze with crossed swords and incised numerals. Measuring H.4" x 6 3/4" x 3 3/4", and H.4 1/2" x 6 3/4" x 5". From the collection of Dr. Marion Scott and Ann Scott, Grosse Pointe Shores.
The female figure has a small chip under her left foot at two toes.
